Magmic's Backgammon King Released with Integrated BlackBerry Messenger Support
Ottawa, Ontario July 28, 2011 – Mobile game developer and publisher Magmic today announced the landmark release of Backgammon King as a BBM™ connected app, making it the first backgammon game for BlackBerry® smartphones that fully integrates BBM 6 to enhance the head-to-head gaming experience.
Backgammon King is Magmic’s industry-leading mobile backgammon game, bringing exquisite graphics and smooth game play together with quick and fun head-to-head competition. One of Magmic’s most popular titles on BlackBerry App World™ (www.blackberry.com/appworld), Backgammon King has developed a strong following among devoted gamers. Now, with the integration of BBM using the BlackBerry Messenger Social Platform SDK, Magmic has made it even easier to connect with other BBM users, start up games, discuss strategy, and just have fun, all while playing the best mobile backgammon game on the market.

Here are a few of the features that the integration of BBM 6 brings to Backgammon King:
- If a contact already has BGK installed, players can invite them for a head-to-head game through the integrated BBM-enabled chat.
- Contacts who don’t have Backgammon King installed can be invited through BBM to download the game.
- Players can choose to share Backgammon King status updates with their BBM contacts.
- In-game chats run completely through BBM.
Magmic is pleased to release Backgammon King BBM as their first “Super App”. This is the first in what will be several BBM-enabled games in the near future, including THK Live, Magmic’s popular head-to-head mobile poker game.
